Kay Miniver, an unassuming English housewife in a comfortable village outside London, watches her ordinary domestic life transform as World War II arrives at her doorstep, from her son's romance with a local aristocrat's granddaughter to her husband's participation in the Dunkirk evacuation. As German bombing raids bring the war directly home, the Minivers and their community must find quiet courage and resilience amid loss and disruption. William Wyler's wartime drama turns an English village's steadfastness under siege into a rallying symbol of civilian endurance.
