In this documentary of more than nine hours, Lanzmann interviews survivors, witnesses and perpetrators of the Holocaust, and visits the sites of the Nazi extermination camps in Poland as they are today. He uses no archive footage, building the film entirely from testimony and the places where the killings happened.
