An avant-garde stage performance with music by Angelo Badalamenti and Julee Cruise, filmed at the Brooklyn Academy of Music in 1989. It opens with Nicolas Cage breaking up with Laura Dern over the phone, then Cruise, as the heartbroken woman's dream self, sings suspended above a dark industrial stage.
